Following their first collaboration back in March, Japanese sandal experts Suicoke and Dr. Martens are reconnecting to present a new iteration of footwear. The result is a hybrid of both brands’ design ethos that still prioritizes the beauty of a classic shoe.
The result is a take on the Suicoke MURA, a slip-on sandal, combined with Dr. Martens’ thick but lightweight Lorson outsole. The leather heel strap dons a hit of co-branding while the inner foot bed sports a supportive foaming. The familiar Dr. Martens heel loop and yellow welt stitching are found throughout the construction as well. The shoe, dubbed the “DM MURA,” speaks the language of both designers and will be available in smooth leather and croc leather.
The Dr. Martens x Suicoke MURA sandal retail for $230 USD and will be available on August 28th via the Dr. Martens website (8am PT), the Suicoke website (6pm ET), and select retailers. Take a closer look at both iterations below.
