Original Story (06/08/20): It’s no secret that Drizzy is rolling with team Nike. “I remember grade six, I was up in Payless tryna get some Asics, now I’m Nike’d down in the motherfuckin’ snake pit” raps the Toronto artist on “D4L” off his latest project Dark Lane Demo Tapes. However, outside of a couple Jordan Brand collabs, Drake has yet to receive a proper Nike sneaker collab. That is expected to change soon as reports indicated that an OVO x Nike Air Force 1 is on the way.

This collaboration between Nike and Drake’s OVO imprint is expected to come dressed in white, possibly with gold detailing to match the color scheme of the OVO Air Jordan 12. Expect an early 2021 release accompanied by the release of OVO x Nike apparel. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for a first look and updates on this release.

Update (07/20/21): A lot has changed since news first broke out of an upcoming Drake x Nike Air Force 1 over a year ago. The rapper has launched his NOCTA label under the Swoosh and is now gearing up for the release of his first NOCTA shoe as well as his next album Certified Lover Boy.

The Drake Air Force 1 is expected to accompany the album due to its “Lover” motifs, such as “Love You Forever” written in cursive on the midsole and the star grip on the toe and heel replaced with hearts. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
