Following the launch of the “Colouring Toy” and “Rosewood” iterations, iconic design house Eames Office and Reebok continue their partnership with a trio of new Classic Leather colorways dubbed the “Elephant Pack.”
The Eames Elephant is a children’s toy and stool originally conceived as a prototype by Charles and Ray Eames in the 1940s, though it was unable to be mass-produced during their lifetimes due to the complexity and expense involved in shaping the creature’s complex curves. The Eames Elephant was eventually released by Vitra in conjunction with the Eames Office in 2007 and is now available in plywood and child-friendly plastic.
The Eames x Reebok Classic Leather Elephant pays homage to this playful design and features a removable elephant face lace shroud. There is also a repeat elephant graphic found on the tongues and insoles. The rest of the shoe features a tonal leather upper and matching sole units in authentic Eames Ice Grey, Poppy Red, and Dark Lime.
The Eames x Reebok Classic Leather “Elephant Pack” launches on Monday, June 20th at 10am ET on the Eames Office webstore. A wider release will be available the following day on Reebok.com and at select retailers. Check out all three colorways below.
