Eames x Reebok Unites the Worlds of Sneakers & Interior Design

Reebok has teamed up with historic interior design house Eames Office on a collection of Club Cs that aims to unite the worlds of fine art, interior architecture, and sneakers.

Known for their ground-breaking furniture creations for Herman Miller and Vitra in the ’40s and ’50s, the husband-and-wife team of Charles and Ray Eames redefined post-war American design. The Eames Lounge Chair, their most iconic work, is part of the permanent collection of New York City’s Museum of Modern Art.

After collaborating on a F&F Club C colorway inspired by the Eames House Case Study 8, the first Eames x Reebok product releasing to the public will the Club C “Monotone Pack.” In line with Charles and Ray’s commitment to accessible design, these black and white colorways pair perfectly with any wardrobe. Remaining as faithful as the OG 1985 Club C as possible, these releases feature heritage design details such as original size tongue tags, squared-off window boxes, die-cut tooling, classic logos, and a restored internal arch bandage.

A second pack, the “Ray Eames Signature Pack” will arrive later this season, with designs that showcase Ray Eames talents as a visual artist. These Club Cs will feature a reproduction of her Composition painting from 1939 as well as the Eames Dot Pattern textile print from 1947.

The Eames x Reebok Club C “Monotone Pack” launches October 15th exclusively on Eamesoffice.com and Reebok.com, with a global release at select retailers slated for October 21st. Each shoe comes packaged in a box modelled after the Eames House — Case Study House No. 8 — located in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles. Check out the upcoming releases below.
