Michael Jordan’s basketball days may be long behind him, though he still gets his competitive fix on the golf course. MJ’s love for golf is so deep that Jordan Brand regularly drops golf versions of their AJ Retro models, such as the AJ4s that launched earlier this year for the PGA Championship and US Open. Another golf version of the Air Jordan 4 is on the horizon, this time in collaboration with Eastside Golf.
Pro golfers Olajuwon Ajanaku and Earl Cooper have been infusing youth and street culture into the traditional game of golf since founding Eastside Golf in 2019. For Jordan Brand’s first-ever golf collab, the two Morehouse College alumni put their spin on the classic “White Cement” Air Jordan 4. Like the OG AJ4 colorway, the shoe features a white leather upper with speckled cement print on the midsoles, wings, and heel tabs. Eastside Golf adds some bling to the colorway with gold lace stays. The brand also replaces the standard Jumpman on the tongue with their own logo, a Black man with a gold chain swinging a golf club. This motif is also seen on the graphic outsoles and is joined by a yellow backdrop and a crowd of spectators.
