Original Story (04/27/22): NYC-based artist FAUST is known for his masterful calligraphy work which can be seen on public murals across the world. His elevated style aims to challenge how viewers perceive graffiti. FAUST is now teaming up with Nike SB for his very own Dunk High.

FAUST’s Dunk High features a back suede upper paired with black leather overlays and an all-black sole unit. On the left shoe, we see “Sure” and “Faust” embroidered in cursive dripping gold on the lateral side, while the right shoe has large “All That Matters” embroidery in tonal black that wraps around the back end of the shoe.

SURE was FAUST’s close friend and partner in art who passed away in 2010. The mismatching embroidery hits on the pair are pulled directly from tags by the duo that can still be found throughout the streets of New York City.

Additional gold hits are used on the trim of the medial Swoosh on the left shoe, as well as on the laces and lace tips. There is even gold “Sure” and “Faust” tags hidden on the inner sides of the flaps. More artwork can be found on the mismatching insoles, one reading “Sell Your Soul” and the other “Sell Your Sole.”

Grab a first look at the FAUST x Nike SB Dunk High below. Expect these to drop at local skate shops later this year. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
