Original Story (07/15/22): Nike is expected to release a handful of special edition Dunk Lows for its sponsored HBCUs in the near future. Florida A&M University (FAMU), which inked a multi-year partnership with Nike in 2021, will be included in this project.

The FAMU Dunk Low comes dressed in the university’s colors, with white leather used for the base of the upper, orange for the overlays, and green for the Swoosh. Special details include the school’s rattlesnake mascot Rattler on the tongue tags, the school’s founding year 1887 on the heels, and COLAC (short for “College Of Love And Charity”) embroidered on the lateral toe. Other neat details include FAMU’s “We Bragg Different” motto embroidered across the lower heels (a nod to Bragg Memorial Stadium) and the Rattlers chant on the inner tongue tag: “Strike, Strike, and Strike Again.” As a final touch, a snakeskin graphic print can be seen through the clear outsoles.
