Guadalupe (GDLP), a sneaker shop based in São Paulo, Brazil, has teamed up with ASICS to release a collaborative GEL-LYTE III inspired by Brazil’s Tropicália movement.

The “Tropicália” GEL-LYTE III transports you to 1960s Brazil with its psychedelic patterns and mix of colors that nod to the era’s creative movement and its effect on Brazil’s music, films, visual art, and writing. Premium suede covers the upper in a contrast of bright and dark colors, hues inspired by the album cover of Acabou Chorare by Novos Baianos. Guadalupe’s “G” logo and its coordinates motif are embroidered on the split tongue, while “G DLP” is embroidered on the lateral heel. The accompanying campaign imagery is inspired by the work of Helio Oiticica, one of the main artist’s linked to the Tropicália movement.

The GDLP x ASICS GEL-LYTE III “Tropicália” is available now on the ASICS website and at select retailers worldwide.
