ASICS and Australian-based HAL STUDIOS lace up a new colorway for the GEL-1130.
For this collaboration, HAL STUDIOS’ John Bouquet approached the design process from a “maximal minimalism” perspective. The usual characteristics and aesthetics of the traditional sports shoe were stripped back, instead emphasizing the timeless form and shape of the archival running silhouette through the use of textures and tones. The GEL-1130 “EARTH” features a textile mesh base upper along with a fuzzy brown suede ASICS stripe and toecap, reflecting the natural earthy hues found on our planet. Other design features include leather footbeds, heel tags with “HAL” and “STUDIOS” text, and a green midfoot support plate on the ASICS GEL-cushioned sole unit.
The HAL STUDIOS x ASICS GEL-1130 “EARTH” is set to release on April 14th at 6:30pm AEST (3:30am Central) exclusively on HAL STUDIOS. Worldwide shipping available.
