What defines heat and hype? In the sneaker community today that question is debatable. Heat to some might be considered hype to another, and vice versa. When really, a solid collection should just be well rounded. It should have diversity, rare pairs, and should represent the individual style of the owner. Enter: Julien Darnell… He’s been collecting sneakers for over ten years now. When I asked what initiated his love for them Julien claimed “he just fell into it”, after conning his way into a job at Paragon. Well, he now has a dope collection which is constantly growing due in part to his role at Kith, and in part to his passion for them. Julien is the perfect example of “Wear What You Like”, and his photos taken by Kith’s resident photographer Tyler Mansour speak volumes. Kith has had a huge impact on style this year, which is a clear reflection of their employees. Julien is a role model in the community without even realizing. He’s original, and he’s humble… A perfect combo. Below is just a glimpse of his collection which ranges from Saucony to Puma, to Nike to Asics. Check out his Instagram for more kicks and creative shots, or pop into kith to see what’s up and on foot.
