Hender Scheme and The North Face Redefine Rugged

0

Japanese leather legends Hender Scheme have teamed up with The North Face to transform their puffy insulated footwear line into rugged leather behemoths.

The duo have worked together on three different pairs; two resemble the low-top cozy Thermoball puffer mules that TNF is known for, while one resembles a high-cut Thermoball bootie. However, rather than the synthetic nylon uppers and simple rubber traction soles that the Thermoball footwear line is known for, Hender Scheme has revamped and redressed their models with quilt-patterned leather and beastly Vibram outsoles.

The two low-top models (known as the Nuptse Peel Gore and the Nuptse Down Moc) use contrasting patterning—one vertical, one horizontal—and feature luxe leather detailing and elastics for a snug fit. The latter model also uses loafer-style tassels for an even more pronounced abstraction of the original TNF Thermoball mule. The high-top Mountain Boot, on the other hand, amps up the ruggedness of both preceding models to create a warm and seemingly indestructible boot to take on anything and everything winter has to offer.

You can check out pictures of all three models in the Hender Scheme x The North Face Nuptse collection down below. All three pieces are set to release via Hender Scheme and Goldwin on October 5th.
