Detailed Look at the Fragment x Sacai x Nike LDWaffle “Blue Void”

Original Story (07/06/20): Japanese streetwear legend Hiroshi Fujiwara has previewed what appears to be a Fragment Design x Sacai x Nike LDV Waffle (aka LDWaffle).

While it’s unknown if this pair is a custom, a friends-and-family exclusive, or a full-blown pre-release sample, the idea of the collaboration is incredibly exciting nonetheless. The shoe features a Fragment-blue base, white swooshes, and dark blue and black leather paneling embossed with the Fragment lightning bolt badge at the forefoot. The shoe also appears to feature the ribbon-style lacing seen in the “White Nylon” and “Black Nylon” iterations of the original Sacai x Nike LDV Waffle.

Info on this possible collaboration is incredibly sparse at the moment, but you can take a look at Fujiwara’s preview shots below. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for any future updates on what would be a release of truly titanic proportions.

Update (08/07/21): Here’s a detailed look at the Fragment x Sacai x Nike LDWaffle in the “Blue Void” colorway. Expect these to release later this month alongside a “Grey” colorway.

Update (01/02/21): According to soleheatonfeet, the fragment design x Sacai x Nike LDWaffle will be launching this Spring/Summer. Additionally, new photos of the shoe have surfaced, showing a mesh-based design instead of the nylon construction from earlier pairs.
