Human Made Dropping “I Know NIGO” Merch With A$AP Rocky & KAWS

I Know NIGO, the first solo musical project from NIGO in nearly two decades, officially drops this Friday.

The Japanese fashion designer is known for creating BAPE and HUMAN MADE, as well as being the current Creative Director of KENZO, though NIGO’s music career is much less publicized. Aside from being the official DJ of the Japanese hip hop group Teriyaki Boyz, NIGO is also a music producer and curator with multiple albums in the discography, most notably 2000’s Ape Sounds and 2005’s Return of the Ape Sounds.

NIGO’s forthcoming album is releasing on Victor Victor Worldwide and is executive produced by frequent collaborator Pharrell Williams. It’s packed with features from some of today’s hip-hop heavyweights, including A$AP Rocky, Lil Uzi Vert, Kid Cudi, Pusha T, and the late Pop Smoke. There’s even a song featuring the Teriyaki Boyz.

As NIGO is a fashion designer first, there will of course be apparel dropping to commemorate the album, most of which will be available exclusively at a Victor Victor Pop-Up Shop opening this Saturday at Shopify NYC.

However, there are some Human Made pieces that are confirmed to be dropping online, including two “I KNOW NIGO” tees. One is adorned with the album artwork’s dog and duck on a magic flying carpet graphic, while the other features KAWS’ twist on the Victor Victor Worldwide logo, which is the cover for the limited edition CD. Also dropping is the AWGE x Human Made “Testing” collection, which A$AP Rocky and NIGO are seen rocking throughout the “Arya” music video.

Those who will be in New York City this weekend can RSVP for the I Know NIGO Victor Victor Pop-Up Shop Opening Day Party here. The Human Made “I KNOW NIGO” tees and the AWGE x Human Made “Testing” collection drop on Friday, March 25th at 10pm ET (March 26 11am JST) on the Human Made website.

  1. A$AP Rocky and Pharrell, I’m somewhat happy for your venture, however; there are more struggling Black artist. Who could use your support, why go to Japan, they already have support from their people.
