Original Story (08/04/22): The ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 is having itself a moment. First launched in 2008 and re-introduced in 2020, the running silhouette is now back on the map thanks in part to recent collaborations from JJJJound and Field Trip Recordings. Also taking on the silhouette is Ice Studios, the NYC-based label founded by photographer Renell Medrano.
Medrano and her team dress the GEL-KAYANO 14’s mesh and leather upper in an icy baby blue hue, with pops of yellow used for the Ice Studios branding and heel of the midsole. A white midsole and baby blue rubber outsole rounds out the design.
Early pairs of the Ice Studios x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 have been shipped to friends and family. Expect these to drop to the public soon on ASICS.com and at select retailers. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
