If you haven’t already, better whip out those phones and take as many selfies as you can because the Michael Jordan statue will be moving inside.
Renderings for a proposed new office building outside the United Center show the iconic Jordan statue residing inside the building’s atrium lobby outside a team store. The Jordan statue draws tourists and fans from around the world — and at all hours of the day and night — in its current location near the Lot H parking lot.
According to a Bulls spokesperson, the statue of Jordan will be relocated temporarily to the southeast corner of the United Center during construction, allowing the public to retain unfettered access to them. But that kind of access may not be permanent.
When construction is complete, the plan calls for the statue to be placed back in its current location, albeit inside the building. Both the atrium lobby and the team store will be open to the public, but specific hours of operation for both have yet to be determined. – Reddit
