Original Story (08/31/21): While the New Balance 990v3 is currently having a moment thanks to collabs with the likes of Joe Freshgoods and Bodega, Justin Saunders and his JJJJound design studio have chosen to take on the 990v4 for their next New Balance project.
Serving as the follow-up to last year’s highly-coveted 992 collab, the JJJJound x New Balance 990v4 features a minimal dark navy color scheme. The suede overlays, laces, and American flag-inspired logo on the tongue all get murdered out in an almost black hue, while the mesh panels are dressed in a deep dark navy. JJJJound branding is found on the back of the heel and on the insoles, while subtle 3M reflective details are found on the N logo, heel, toe box, and the alternate set of toggle laces.
The JJJJound x New Balance 990v4 is slated to release this Fall/Winter season, likely via the JJJJound website and select retailers. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for additional info.
