Original Story (08/03/21): A day after the release of the “Outside Clothes” short film, Joe Freshgoods has seemingly announced a release of his New Balance 990v3.

“Come to Chicago on Thursday it’s a beautiful city” was the message the Fat Tiger Workshop founder posted for his Instagram followers earlier today. If you recall, Joe had a line of 100+ camping out overnight in freezing temperatures for the release of his first New Balance collab, coinciding with All-Star Weekend 2020 in Chicago. Luckily, it is now summer and the weather for Thursday is looking nice.

The shoe itself comes in a color palette inspired by growing up and playing outside in summertime Chi. The blue mesh base represents the sky, green accents represent the grass, while brown suede overlays represent dirt and mud. “JFG” branding appears in green on the lateral heel, while the back of the heel features an orange NB badge, the words Made for US (a play on Made In USA), and “Outside” on the left shoe and “Clothes” on the right.

Expect a release for the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 990v3 “Outside Clothes” somewhere in Chicago on Thursday, August 5th. An online drop should follow shortly after on the Joe Freshgoods website (sign up to the mailing list for updates). Check out the “Outside Clothes” campaign photos below, shot by Gunner Stahl in the West Side of Chicago.

Update (08/14/21): After an in-person Chicago drop, Joe Freshgoods is releasing the “Outside Clothes” 990v3 via raffle. The raffle is open now and closes on August 15th at 5pm CT. Winners will start being notified on August 17th. The apparel collection will be available at Fat Tiger Workshop and on joefreshgoods.com on August 17th at noon CT.
