Following consecutive highly praised collaborations with New Balance in 2020 and 2021, Joe Freshgoods is coming for the three-peat. The Chicago designer and creative director has begun to tease what’s coming from JFG x NB in 2022.
Rumor has it that the collaboration will include two colorways of the New Balance 993, a silhouette that’s been out of the limelight for a while, save for the two Aimé Leon Dore colorways released in November. The only teasers so far are of the boxes, one which comes in a jade green, the other in a red orange hue. Both feature a cloud-like design on the lid with “Made For Us” on the lip. Joe has also provided a sneak peek at the inside of the lid, which has a message printed on it. Though it’s cut off, you can make out the phrase “shhhhhh…be quiet…our imaginations are speaking.”
The Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 993 is expected to launch this April on the New Balance website and at select retailers. Check out the teasers below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
