The rollout for Joe Freshgoods’ latest New Balance collaboration is in full swing. After announcing the raffle details for the “Performance Art” 993s, the acclaimed designer has now shared the lookbook for the accompanying apparel collection.
The clothes come in the same pastel color palette as the 993s — sage green, powder pink, baby blue — with a touch of soft beige in the mix. Our favorite pieces are the patchwork colorblocked styles (jacket, pants, shorts, and skirt) and the disco-themed graphic tee. Also included in the offering are striped crewnecks, velour tracksuits, collared button-ups, and more.
The lookbook features a cast of creatives across various disciplines, with many being from Chicago or a New Balance ambassador. The list includes Chicago rappers Joey Purp and Mick Jenkins, fellow Fat Tiger founders Rello and Des, actress Storm Reid, media personality Scottie Beam, designer Khalfani “Fani” Denis, Chicago Bulls’ Zach LaVine, multi-hyphenate Jaden Smith, iconic R&B singer Monica, and more. These individuals were also featured in the “Performance Art” campaign film, which can be viewed below.
