Along with an upcoming New Balance 992, Joe Freshgoods has also designed a performance basketball sneaker as part of his new partnership with New Balance.
The Chicago fashion designer puts his own spin on the Kawhi Leonard’s signature model, the OMN1S. This project features a “No Emotions Are Emotions” theme created for people like Kawhi who don’t do much talking, they simply let their work speak for them. Like Kawhi, Joe wants to quietly/humbly do his job and win. Ditching the smiley face motifs seen on his previous DBM releases, Joe puts his game face on, covering the upper and outsole of the OMN1S with expressionless “????” faces.
Kawhi debuted the Don’t Be Mad OMN1S tonight during his game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, scoring 31 points and getting the W. The pair is slated to release on February 14th along with the DBM x NB992. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for further release info.
