Jordan Brand has been releasing special products to celebrate Chinese New Year every year since 2011. Today, the Jumpman officially unveils its CNY lineup for 2022.

The CNY 2022 collection rings in the Year of the Tiger and is the 12th installment in the CNY series, meaning that Jordan Brand has completed a full cycle of the Chinese zodiac. The star of the show is the Air Jordan 1 Low OG CNY, dressed in a tiger-inspired color scheme and covered in calligraphy-style tiger print. Details include a yellowed translucent outsole with large Wings logo peaking through, a decorated black satin sockliner, and tiger head logo on the heel. Like last year’s CNY AJ1 Low OG, this one is also highly limited, with only 5,000 produced this time around, each individually numbered.

The other footwear in the collection, the Air Jordan 6 Low and the Air Jordan Legacy 312, draw inspiration from Ge Kiln porcelain, one of the Five Great Kilns of Chinese ceramics produced during the Song dynasty. Both styles come equipped with bluish-gray uppers and gold accents. The exquisite cracking pattern of Ge porcelain inspires the texture of the AJ6 Low’s toe box and surrounding area.

The accompanying apparel includes tees, sweaters, and more featuring a special Jumpman logo surrounded by cloud and bird graphics. Also included is a reversible black and orange bomber jacket with Chinese-style buckle design.

The Jordan Brand CNY 2022 collection will release in the Greater China region on December 30th. Those looking to cop outside of China can look for the collection on eBay or StockX following the release.
