Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, is expanding his creative partnership with Demna, creative director of Balenciaga and cofounder of Vetements, with the launch of YEEZY GAP Engineered by Balenciaga.

Ye and Demna first linked up in 2015, when the Georgian designer was added to the YEEZY Season 1 creative team, a team which also included the likes of Jerry Lorenzo and Virgil Abloh. More recently, Demna was picked to be the artistic director for Ye’s DONDA release events at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta and Soldier Field in Chicago.

YEEZY GAP Engineered by Balenciaga pieces will be available globally in 2022 alongside continued YEEZY GAP releases, which in 2021 included the YEEZY GAP Round Jacket and Hoodie. No upcoming pieces have been announced, though Ye has been wearing a ton of all-black Balenciaga fits, so we can expect a heavy use of black in this collaboration.

The first YEEZY GAP Engineered by Balenciaga drop is scheduled for June, with a second later on in the year. For updates, follow Modern Notoriety and sign up on yeezygap.com.
