Kawhi Leonard and New Balance have teamed up on a new collection named, “Inspire the Dream.” This collection salutes Leonard’s basketball journey from California’s Mr. Basketball to being a key player for the Los Angeles Clippers.
This collection includes a new variation of his OMN1S and three of New Balance’s lifestyle silhouettes including the 997S, the 850 and the 574. Topping off the collection, Leonard is also releasing a set of apparel to go with the shoe’s navy, scarlet and grey color scheme to pay tribute to his days at Martin Luther King High school in Riverside.
Leonard’s OMN1S is dressed in a navy and gold printed pattern seen over the majority of the shoe’s FitWeave upper. A band across the midfoot reads “Inspire” in gold text. Gold detailing is seen throughout the shoe, most notably on the eyelets. New Balance UltraHeel and FuelCell technology are installed to provide advanced cushioning. Each shoe in the collection is laced in scarlet red laces for a finishing touch.
The rest of the footwear in the collection is dressed in the same deep navy colorway with scarlet red and gold accents throughout. Each shoe is constructed with their respective materials such as suede for the 547, leather for the 850, and mesh for the 887S. Apparel in the collection includes a varsity jacket, two vintage hoodies, and three tees.
The “Inspire the Dream” collection is set to release on January 30th on the New Balance website and in select retailers. Check out the collection below.
