Shortly following NIGO’s first runway show as artistic director of KENZO, the Parisian fashion house has announced the release of the first products with NIGO at the helm.
Dubbed the Boke Flower collection by NIGO, the capsule consists of “2 x 5-piece wardrobes designed for men and women.” The numbers 2 and 5 are symbolic for this release, as “NI” is the number 2 and “GO” is the number 5 in Japanese. A 02/05 release date was also chosen for this reason.
While the full contents of the capsule have yet to be revealed, we do know that it will include the navy coach jacket worn by NIGO during his FW22 runway show at Galerie Vivienne in Paris. It features a boke flower graphic and KENZO PARIS branding on the left chest, as well as enlarged on the back.
The KENZO Boke Flower collection by NIGO launches on Saturday, February 5th at 10:30am Paris Time (4:30am EST) on the KENZO website. US drop is set for 11am EST. The collection will also be available at KENZO stores worldwide and select retailers such as LUISAVIAROMA, END. Clothing, and Dover Street Market.
