KENZO through the lens of NIGO has been gradually introduced with a series of limited edition capsule collections throughout the Spring/Summer 2022 season. Following the release of the “Denim Boke Flower” capsule last month, KENZO now introduces the “Poppy” capsule, marking the fourth and final drop of the season before the introduction of KENZO FW22 later this year.
With this final SS22 release, NIGO pays tribute to the legacy of Kenzo Takada, who incorporated various flower prints in his designs, though none as famously as the red poppy. NIGO puts his own twist on the print by enlarging the flowers and placing them on poplin Hawaiian shirts, cotton drill shorts, and knee-length skirts. A singular poppy flower also appears on relaxed fit tees and dark denim shorts, with the flower appearing in yellow on the navy tee and shorts.
The KENZO Poppy Collection by NIGO launches on May 6th on KENZO.com, at KENZO stores, and via select retailers such as Dover Street Market and Saks Fifth Avenue.
