Kiko Kostadinov Reveals the ASICS HN2-S PROTOBLAST

0

In late 2020, ASICS kicked off a new multi-year partnership with long-time collaborator Kiko Kostadinov. This partnership sees the London-based designer and his team working alongside ASICS’ in-house designers to develop new products under the ASICS SportStyle umbrella. The latest model to come out of that partnership is the ASICS HN2-S PROTOBLAST.

Kostadinov recently took to Instagram to share some looks at the new silhouette in a few colorways. The model appears to pull elements from ASICS shoes of different eras, such as the toe box from the GELHOOP V6. The midsole on these are constructed with FlyteFoam Blast foam cushioning and features a sculpted triangular-shaped pattern on the heel, similar to geometry of the midsoles found on the Novablast series.

The colorways previewed by Kostadinov include a Chocolate Brown/Graphite Grey pair, a Shaded Spruce/Aquatic colorway, and another in all-grey. Images of a blue/purple colorway are also floating around.

Check out Kiko Kostadinov’s pics of the ASICS HN2-S PROTOBLAST below, as well as some additional photos of the model. These were initially slated to launch for FW21, though were pushed back due to global shipping delays. These are now slated to drop overseas on February 8th on ASICS.com and at select retailers.
