To cap off the 90th anniversary celebration of Mickey Mouse, NYC-based fashion label KITH has partnered up with Disney on a collection of apparel, footwear, and accessories. Disney is not usually known for handing over creative control of their beloved mascot, so for them to allow Ronnie Fieg to create an entire collection based around Mickey is a huge deal.
The collection features various renditions of Mickey Mouse spanning from the 1920s to today, including Steamboat Willie (1920s), Running Mickey (1930s), and Fantasia Mickey (1940s). Approximately 80 pieces are included in the collection, ranging from denim jeans and jackets, to corduroy rugby shirts and varsity jackets. Eight of KITH’s signature fabrics were chosen for the basis of the collection, each one dedicated to to a different decade Mickey has lived through. In the footwear department we have three unique takes of the Converse Chuck 70. Aside from wearables, the collection also includes a set of plush Mickey dolls adorned in the KITH color palette.
The KITH x Disney Mickey Mouse collection drops on November 18th at KITH locations and online (10AM CST). Take a peek at the collection in the galleries below and scroll down for a detailed look at the three Converse Chuck 70s included in the collection. Also check out the full lookbook here.
