Kith is collaborating with respected watch brand G-Shock to release a special edition “Rainbow” GM-6900.
G-Shock and Kith are no strangers to collaboration. This marks the third time that Kith has reworked G-Shock’s classic 6900 model and the second time they have worked on the more recently introduced GM-6900. Durability and functionality are the guiding principles of G-Shock watches and this project stays true that idea while adding an artistic flare that makes the watch one of a kind.
The watch features a forged metal bezel and a translucent strap printed with the Kith monogram. The brilliant color gradation took more than ten rounds of sampling, designed to set it apart in the archives of past and future 6900 models. The watch is both shock-resistant and water-resistant up to 200 meters. Other features include an electro-luminescent backlight, three different measuring modes, two-year battery life, flash alert, multi-function alarm, and an auto-calendar to the year 2099. Crisp white monogrammed packaging and an additional watch strap sans-monogram print are included.
The Kith x G-Shock GM-6900 Rainbow will release on March 22nd via Kith’s retail shops and the Kith website for a retail price of $400 USD. Each purchase comes with a zine created exclusively for this partnership.
