Earlier this year, Kith released a couple exclusive colorways of the New Balance 990v3: the “Genesis” and “Tornado.” Fieg and company are now gearing up to release another colorway of the 990v3, this time in a familiar “Daytona” color scheme.
Ronnie Fieg first used the “Daytona” colorway on a pair of New Balance 1600s, which released on Black Friday in 2013. The tan, blue, and pink color scheme was inspired by family vacations Fieg’s family would take to Daytona Beach, Florida when he was a kid. This color scheme has now been transferred over to the 990v3. The micro-perforated toe box is dressed in a rich navy blue hue, overlaid with sandy tan suede on the quarter panels and a dark beige towards the heels. Magenta is then used for the N logos on the side panels, KXTH branding on the heel, and RF branding on the lace dubraes. These come in a special box with drawstring dust bag and two extra sets of laces.
Though some pairs of the Kith x New Balance 990v3 “Daytona” have made their way onto the market and into the public’s hands, an official release has yet to be announced. Expect these to release on Kith.com in the coming weeks. Grab a first look below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
