Kith’s 10-year anniversary celebration is a trip down memory lane. After revisiting the “Salmon Toe” and “Leatherback” colorways for a new ASICS collab, Ronnie Fieg and company take the nostalgia further with their upcoming New Balance drops.
Previewed in the Kith Summer 2022 lookbook is four upcoming New Balance collabs: the 990v1 “Dusty Rose,” 990v2 “Cyclades,” 990v3 “Daytona,” and a “United Arrows” 990v4. Each of these upcoming releases takes the color scheme of a previous Kith x New Balance release from over the years and places them on a 990v silhouette.
The “United Arrows” 990v4 is a callback to the Kith x United Arrows & Sons x New Balance 997 released in 2018, which itself is a callback to the 2008 United Arrows x New Balance 997.5 (once worn by Kanye West). It features a grey suede and mesh upper with hits of purple on the forefoot and pink on the heel-side and on the N logo. Underfoot is a two-toned white and cream midsole and a black rubber outsole.
