Original Story (03/29/20): In late 2019, Ronnie Fieg shared a photo of a white KITH x Nike Air Force 1. A release was highly anticipated, but that colorway ended up being a friends and family exclusive. However, we have news on a new KITH AF1 colorway that may get an actual retail release.

A Japan-themed colorway of the KITH AF1 has landed on the cover of SHOES MASTER Magazine Vol.33 Spring / Summer 2020, a Japanese publication. In a social media post, Fieg shares an image of himself wearing the AF1 next to the magazine, with the caption reading “First cover of my favorite sneaker publication of all time. The only way to announce this one.” Fieg is possibly referring to the opening of KITH Tokyo, which would most likely accompany the KITH Treats that opened in the city in 2017.

The shoe itself comes equipped with a white leather upper and cream midsole, similar to the F&F pair. While the F&F pair featured multiple colors in its detailing, all accents on this pair are dressed in red, including the embroidered mini Swoosh on the lateral, the velvet sock liner, and KITH Air branding on the heel. Brick-like debossed KITH branding also makes its return, except this time on the side panels instead of the Swoosh.

Look for this KITH x Nike Air Force 1 to release sometime this spring to coincide with the opening of the yet-to-be-announced KITH Tokyo flagship.
