Kith Presents Team USA Collection With Help From Olympic Athletes

Kith will be releasing a Team USA collection for men, women, and kids to celebrate the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Leading up to the launch, the brand has created a special campaign featuring several decorated Team USA gold medalists.

The campaign serves as a countdown to the July 30th collection release. Each day, new images are revealed featuring U.S. athletes and teammates who have won a corresponding number of Olympic gold medals as there are days remaining until the launch.

The six-day countdown kicked off with teammates Kerri Walsh Jennings & Misty May-Treanor, considered by many to be the greatest beach volleyball duo of all time, together winning a total of six gold medals at the 2004, 2008 & 2012 Olympic Games.

Day T-5 featured Aaron Peirsol, who won five gold medals for swimming in two consecutive Olympic Games, Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008. The next day, images featuring Jason Kidd & Deron Williams were revealed, who have won a combined four gold medals for basketball. This was followed by Clyde Drexler and Chris Mullin, two members of the iconic 1992 Dream Team. Both won gold in 1992 with this team, while Mullin also won gold in 1984, making their total three. With two days to go, Kith shares campaign images of Shannon Lee Miller, the most decorated US Olympic female gymnast in history with seven total medals, two of which are gold.

Each athlete is seen modeling pieces from the collection (as well as their gold medals). Pieces previewed include colorblocked and solid USA crewnecks, faux fur and starry quilt coaches jackets, a basketball jersey, mesh shorts, a cable knit cardigan, an intarsia sweater, a pique polo, and luggage and tags created in partnership with Away.

Kith for Team USA releases Friday, July 30th at Kith’s US flagship stores and at 11AM EST on Kith.com. Check out the campaign images below and stay tuned to Kith’s IG and website for a reveal of the full campaign and collection.
