Li-Ning and Dwyane Wade are celebrating the tenth anniversary of their long-lasting partnership in 2022. To commemorate this milestone, the duo present their tenth signature basketball model together, the Way of Wade 10.
Since 2012, D. Wade and Li-Ning have been delivering cutting-edge performance basketball footwear. Each iteration of the Way of Wade takes on an evolutionary approach, building off of previous installments to present the ultimate design, materials, and craftsmanship. With ten years of evolution to work off of, the WOW10 is here to take things to a new level.
Not only is the WOW10 the lightest Way of Wade shoe ever, it is one of the lightest basketball signature shoes in the industry. It comes equipped with full-palm Li-Ning Boom Technology, which gives the shoe 7% more rebound and cushion than the WOW9, providing faster start-up speed while also reducing the shoe’s overall weight. A size 9.5 WOW10 weighs approximately 372 grams.
“The laws of nature definitely inspired WOW10, and just like Dwyane Wade’s 10 rules to success, ‘constant evolution’ is the core motivation,” says Way of Wade designer Joe Choo. “It’s all about how to make a pair of basketball shoes that offer the ultimate performance experience.”
The WOW10 launches in two colorways. The “Blossom” pair resembles the color of cherry blossoms, dressed in a pink and white color scheme. The “Sunrise” pair features a black upper with gradient soles. It represents the time when Wade left his hometown of Chicago to head to Cleveland to restart his career, just like how one leaves their home in the morning after sunrise to earn his living. Pink and purple hues represent the morning sun, which inspires a new start and hope for a brighter tomorrow.
The Way of Wade 10 “Blossom” and “Sunrise” launched on July 1st on the Way of Wade website, though the “Sunrise” colorway has completely sold out online. Check out both pairs below.
