Louis De Guzman x New Balance 574 & Apparel Release Date

Original Story (08/12/21): Chicago-based visual artist Louis De Guzman has teamed up with New Balance to release a new iteration of the 574. This is a follow-up to his first 574 released last year as part of Foot Locker’s COLLABORAID initiative.

Dressed in the artist’s signature color palette, this release features a blend of soft purple, aqua blue, and vivid red suedes in its construction with pops of hot pink on the tongue lip and quarter panel trim. Black mesh is used for the toe box and tongue, while leather quarter panel overlays are split into two sides, silver on the medial and black on the lateral. Geometric patterns from De Guzman’s ongoing In Between The Lines series are found on the large lateral N logo as well as on the printed insoles. A black/white midsole and black outsole rounds out the design.

Update (08/30/21): Louis De Guzman has shared additional photos of his upcoming New Balance 574 and the accompanying cut-and-sew apparel collection that includes shorts, jogging pants, a tee, hoodie, hat, and socks. The collection launches on the Foot Locker Greenhouse app on ~~September 10th~~ at 12pm ET.
