Original Story (04/04/20): Shawn Yue’s independent label MADNESS and New Balance are teaming up on the release of a militant-themed, three-part iteration of the 327 model, a silhouette that will soon make its debut in a Casablanca collab.
Dressed in color pairings of green/brown, beige/white, and black/grey, the military inspirations line up with MADNESS’ signature aesthetics, from the color palette to the construction. Branding is a central design element as well, from “M.D.N.S. Corps” etched on the laces to the woven lateral tag. Interestingly, New Balance ditched their trademark raised “N” and swapped out texture for material, opting for one that remains flush with the shoe.
The MADNESS x New Balance 327 collaboration doesn’t have any official release info, but expect a Spring 2020 release on newbalance.com and the MADNESS web store. Take a closer look at the collection below and keep up with Modern Notoriety for updates.
