Original Story (03/02/22): 2022 is the year of the Air Jordan 2! Following a reveal of the “Responsibility” AJ2 Low, we now have a look at a collaboration between Maison Château Rouge and Jordan Brand on the slept-on silhouette.
Maison Château Rouge is a Paris-based lifestyle brand devoted to presenting African culture with a contemporary spirit. Its collections are designed and developed in the Château Rouge district of Paris, with production carried out between Paris, Abidjan, Bamako and Dakar.
The brand’s Air Jordan 2 collab comes dressed primarily in a white and orange color scheme. Features include a debossed African-inspired design on the tongue and side panels, as well as hand-stitched detailing on the lip of the tongue. These features were also found on the brand’s first Jordan collab, the “Fearless” Air Jordan 1 Mid SE. Yellow accents are found on the Wings logo on the tongue and the Nike and Maison Château Rouge branded windows on the heels. Some hidden details include “United Youth International” and “Chicago Paris Dakar” on the inner tongue tags and Michael Jordan graphics on the insoles.
