While Maison Margiela have had numerous collabs, the silhouettes of choice have been pretty much limited to the Classic Leather and Club C. It looks like the French luxury fashion house is now diving into Reebok’s basketball footwear catalog, as a Margiela x Reebok Question Mid has now surfaced.
Revealed in both white and black colorways, the Maison Margiela x Reebok Question Mid comes with a deconstructed aesthetic. Chunks of the paneling on the sides and heel have been removed and replaced with exposed foam. There are a handful of other modifications, such as a new lacing system and an elongated tongue with jagged edges and more exposed foam. A Margiela tag can be found on the inside of the tongue, while more Margiela branding appears on the insoles. We also see a 22 in a circle on the heels, a motif found throughout Margiela’s footwear offerings.
