Converse has again teamed up with Finnish company Marimekko on the Converse Chuck Taylor Hi. Marimekko’s name was first heard around the world when former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy purchased 8 dresses for the 1960 US Presidential campaign. Marimekko is noted for the use of brightly colored printed fabrics and simple styles. Here they use a colorful patchwork pattern on the upper and a bright white on the toe cap, laces, all-star patch, mid-sole and out-sole. They also add a unique touch to this classic by adding a looped tag on the tongue that reads “Converse <3 Marimekko” and a red star on the back of the ankle.
