Melody Ehsani x Jordan Brand “Cherry” Collection

Original Story (02/27/20): This past Holiday season, Jordan Brand unleashed its Fearless Ones collection which included a collaboration with Melody Ehsani. Now the Los-Angeles designer is reuniting with the brand for another collaborative sneaker.

Ehsani took to her Instagram with a video of her holding the finished box. The box is a light pink with dark orange accents. Her caption reads “DO YOU KNOW” continuously. Although the official shoe has not been announced yet, people suspect an offering of an Air Jordan 4.

The Melody Ehsani x Jordan Brand sneaker is set to release March 2020. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.

Update (03/12/20): We now have official images and a release date for Melody Ehsani’s next Jumpman collab. Look for this Women’s Air Jordan OG to release on March 19th at select retailers and Nike.com. Prior to the global release, Ehsani will be releasing the Women’s OG Jordan and an accompanying apparel and jewelry collection at her Fairfax and Soho retail stores and online (9AM PST) on Saturday, March 14th. Stores will open at 9 AM PST/ET. Early release for the shoe is in-store only.

Also, something not seen in the official images is a personal message from Ehsani on the inside of the tongue. It reads “The cherry, throughout time, has been a symbol of abundance, associated with goddesses of fertility and plenty. So I say to you, goddess… may your creativity be fertile — however you choose to use it and may abundunce in all things good be yours. Big love to all my sisters all around the world. This one’s for you.”

Update (03/03/20): Melody Ehsani has provided an update on her upcoming Jordan Brand collaboration. In honor of Women’s History Month, Ehsani will be releasing a Women’s Jordan OG inspired by the 2000 film Love & Basketball.

It comes dressed in black with a red outsole and reflective trimming throughout the upper. It also comes equipped with a cherry emblem, which “throughout time has been associated with symbols of abundance, fertility & protection.”
