World-famous graffiti artist Futura 2000 is set to drop an exclusive poster via Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art (initial host to Virgil Abloh’s “Figures of Speech” collection last summer) alongside his FW20 apparel collection with Comme des Garçons SHIRT.
The artist is set to participate in a virtual studio visit on Instagram Live with the MCA at noon CT on September 18th to discuss his practice and the collection, which dropped elsewhere last month. The capsule will then release via the MCA Chicago online store alongside a completely exclusive poster to commemorate the event that features Futura’s “SPORTS IN SPACE WITH AIR FORCE BLUE” from 1984, one of the prints seen on the CdG SHIRT apparel release. The capsule itself is comprised of button-up shirts, tees, and bags that feature Futura’s work on pieces that use unique paneling and patterning.
