After announcing a multi-year partnership earlier this year, we finally have a first look at the first shoe to come out of the partnership between the NBA and Parisian fashion behemoths Louis Vuitton.
The shoe appears to be a modified, work-boot-style rendition of the Louis Vuitton Abbesses Derby (somewhat reminiscent of a pair of Timberlands). The pair’s platform midsole leaves ample space for metallic gold Louis Vuitton monogram badges near the heel, which match the gold “VUITTON” eyestay plates. Luxe leather NBA badges grace the shoe’s tongue, while gold co-branding can be found on the insole. Finally, the shoes are set to come with a full-color NBA hangtag secured to their laces.
We currently have no release or pricing info for these, but Louis Vuitton’s mainline Abbesses Derby comes in at an eye-watering $1,050 via their website.
