It’s been almost fifteen years since Vans linked up with West Coast retailer UNDEFEATED for their first collaboration together. The two brands came together in 2007 to release a collection of Sk8-Hi colorways, each covered in a print featuring the UNDEFEATED “U-Man” character. Now, UNDEFEATED and Vans Vault are reviving the U-Man for a new collaboration on the Old Skool silhouette.

The U-Man was designed by internationally renowned artist Geoff McFetridge around the time that UNDEFEATED first opened its doors on La Brea in 2002. It became the brand’s mascot and a branding staple on the level of UNDEFEATED’s Five Strike logo.

The new UNDEFEATED x Vans Old Skool LX comes in three colorways: “Bistro Green,” “Blue Iolite,” and “Buckthorn Brown.” Each feature a U-Man print across the canvas upper. Supple pigskin suede is used for the tonal overlays, while white leather dresses the sockliners. Addtional features include UNDEFEATED’s famed Five Strike logo on the tongue tag and laces embellished with an UNDFTD-branded deubre. All three shoes come with a unique skating U-Man hangtag sticker. A collection of U-Man tees will accompany the release of the shoes.

The UNDEFEATED x Vault by Vans OG Old Skool LX will release on Saturday, December 4th at 7am PST via Undefeated.com and at UNDEFEATED stores.
