Earlier this year, New Balance teamed up with Aimé Leon Dore to reintroduce the 550, a classic basketball sneaker originally released in 1989. Now, New Balance Basketball has announced that the 550 will be releasing in general release colorways.
The 550 will makes its mainline reintroduction in blue and red colorways, taking direct color and design inspiration from the originals released in 1989. While the ALD colorways featured a vintage-inspired tint, these 550s are equipped with bright white leather with black accents and pops of color on the tongue, N logo, sockliner, ankle collar, and outsole.
The New Balance 550 will be available for $110 USD on December 1st via newbalance.com/basketball in select markets globally as well as select retailers.
