Original Story (02/10/22): New Balance has dressed its popular 550 retro basketball oxford model in stealthy “Triple Black.”
The New Balance 550 was designed by the legendary Steven Smith and initially released in 1989. It was then reintroduced in 2020 and welcomed with open arms by the sneakerhead community and larger fashion world. The low-top silhouette now receives a murdered out “Triple Black” colorway dressed in premium leather with mesh on the tongue and ankle collar. A matching EVA foam midsole and rubber outsole rounds out the design.
The New Balance 550 “Triple Black” is expected to arrive later this year, though it has already released at some overseas retailers. You can cop now on StockX and GOAT. Check out the pair below.
