Earlier this year, New Balance introduced the 57/40, a modern reinterpretation of the brand’s classic 574 model. With a Comme des Garçons Homme colorway recently previewed, we now have a look at an upcoming Valentine’s Day edition of the new silhouette.
This 57/40 features a hot pink mesh and suede construction for its upper, with a touch of matching hot pink leather used as trimming around the N logo for a bit of material variation. Additional pink and fuchsia hues are found on the upper half of the double-stacked midsole, with the bottom half decked out in red. There are also hits of black found on the sockliner, tongue tag, heel, and outsole. To add to the Valentine’s Day theme, the inside of the tongue reads “The Romantic Choice” instead of New Balance’s usual “The Intelligent Choice” slogan.
The New Balance 57/40 “Valentine’s Day” is set to launch on February 6th via 43einhalb. The pair is also listed as “Coming Soon” on New Balance’s website. Expect a February 6th release on there as well.
