The launch of the New Balance 990v6 is almost here. After being unveiled by Teddy Santis in classic grey last summer, the upcoming model now surfaces in a navy blue colorway.
Photos posted by number.ni3 on Instagram give us a detailed look at a sample of this 990v6, which features a navy mesh upper with tonal perforated leather overlays and suede mudguards. The side panel N logo, sockliner, and reflective touches appear in grey, adding some depth to the color palette.
The most interesting part of this reveal however, is the close-up look at the outsole. We can see that the shoe features FuelCell technology, the same cushioning that NB uses on its elite running models. This explains why the midsole is so chunky.
