New Balance returns to the pro basketball scene with a new multi-year partnership with the NBA, making New Balance an official marketing partner with the league.

New Balance has emerged back in the pro-basketball market with its All-Star Player, Kawhi Leonard. The athletic brand has created a signature basketball shoe for Leonard named the “KAWHI” and also released a full shoe and apparel collection with the pro-player named “Inspire the Dream.”

To celebrate their new partnership, New Balance will release their “We Got Now” global brand campaign featuring Kawhi Leonard which will premiere during the Denver Nuggets v. LA Clippers game on Friday, February 28th. Other ads are set to come out supporting the campaign and will include other celebrity New Balance brand ambassadors including tennis player Coco Gauff, track-and-field star Sydney McLaughlin and rapper Jaden Smith.

According to a press release statement by the NBA, this partnership “ingrains New Balance into the NBA’s global presence, a fandom and culture that transcends sport and is significantly larger than the game of basketball.”
