New Balance & Francisco Lindor Unveil First Signature Baseball Collection

0

New Balance has teamed up with Mets’ Francisco Lindor to unveil the brand’s first-ever signature baseball shoe, the Lindor 1, and an accompanying apparel collection. The shoe will debut as a cleat that comes in two colorways, as well as a more casual lifestyle model that will come in three color options.

Taking inspiration from Lindor’s Puerto Rican heritage, all of the footwear features a floral pattern across the toe box that references Puerto Rico’s national flower, the Flor de Maga. A thick strap crosses the foot with multiple New Balance logos in various sizes and Lindor’s own logo. The phrases “Be Consistent” and “Stay Positive” run up the tongues of shoes, both personal mantras of Lindor’s. A new innovation specifically requested by Lindor includes a removable strap on the ankle. This allows the wearer to opt for additional ankle support or wear it low cut. An emphasis on versatility is clear in the design.

The apparel selection is focused and consists of a t-shirt, hoodie, and headband. Classic black and white are both color options but a colorful tie-dye inspired version also changes things up and uses Lindor’s Puerto Rican roots as inspiration.

The New Balance Francisco Lindor signature collection will be available on newbalance.com starting on March 1st. The price range starts at $15 for the headband and goes up to $130 for the footwear.
