New Balance takes a more modern approach to its “Grey Day” offerings this year. The annual pack celebrating the color grey is back with three of the brand’s latest and greatest silhouettes — the 327, XC-72, and 57/40 — each decked out in monochrome tones.
The 327 sports a mix of black suede and nylon across the upper, with an oversized metallic “N” logo on the lateral side panel. This is paired with a vintaged white midsole and black outsole with slight recycled speck details. All three colorways come with green insoles to denote that the products meet New Balance’s green leaf standard.
The XC-72, a modern design inspired by ’70s concept cars, features a tonal grey hairy suede and nylon upper along with its signature split outsole with three unique traction patterns. To complete the pack, the 57/40 is presented in a cream colorway with grey accents. The upper consists of suede and mesh atop a layered midsole.
The 2022 New Balance “Grey Day” collection releases on May 21st on the New Balance website (10am ET) and select retailers. Check out all three pairs below.
