After announcing their partnership last year, soccer superstar Neymar Jr. and PUMA have continued their friendliness through a release of a technologically and creatively enhanced FUTURE Z 1.1 silhouette. The cleat is designed with athletes in mind and strives to give a boost to performance and style on the field.
According to Lilly Cocks, PUMA’s Developer Teamsport Footwear, the centerpiece detail of the shoe is its FUZIONFIT+ black compression band located on the midfoot. The band, which sharply contrasts the “Yellow Alert” upper, combines polyester and spandex yarns to create a special material that gives the wearer a “second skin feeling.” With the approval of medical staff, the FUTURE Z 1.1 ensures optimal stud configuration for rapid changes of direction.
The upper is knitted specifically for ball control and comfort, sporting an embroidered “Future” script, while the Dynamic Motion System outsole provides added traction. The PUMA motif can be found on the toe to round out the branding. Its wearers were about 3% faster wearing the newer model than its predecessor. The shoe will be first seen on the likes of creative players, such as Neymar himself, James Maddison, Eugénie le Sommer, Marco Reus and Dzsenifer Marozsán.
The Neymar Jr. x PUMA FUTURE Z 1.1 boot is now available via early access on the PUMA webstore ahead of its January 21st global launch.
